PATHWAYS
has the benefit of the experience of its parent institution, Darche Noam, which
has been inspiring and educating young men and women in Jerusalem
for almost 30 years. At
PATHWAYS we respect the individuality
of each student and do not aim to promote one specific Jewish
lifestyle within orthodox Judaism. Our goal is to encourage
each student to connect more deeply and authentically to their
Judaism. The group size is limited specifically to achieve
that goal.
At PATHWAYS every student learns from authentic original sources and builds textual skills and abilities. By engaging in challenging and intellectually honest debate, PATHWAYS introduces each student to an enriching world of Jewish thought and practice.
At PATHWAYS we emphasize core Jewish values - in particular
that Jewish spiritual life must begin with developing good
character, and ethical interpersonal relations. We believe
that Judaism must engage the
whole person and their whole
lives - heart and mind, speech and body, relationships and
personal life, business and pleasure, physicality and emotions.
The PATHWAYS program fully integrates Jewish Learning with touring around Israel - each leading to a deeper encounter with the other.
